How do I get better reception?
With Freeview digital Television the signal needs to be of fair quality and strength to get a decent picture. If there is picture fracturing and freezing, it indicates that the reception is poor and will need further investigation from an engineer.
Some of my channels missing. What should I do?
It is possible that there is water in your existing aerial or coax cable. This will interfere with the signal, knocking out groups of channels if not them all. There are other reasons, but it would need an aerial fitter to inspect it.
Why am I receiving the wrong BBC or ITV regional programmes?
This can happen when the transmission from another nearby region interferes with the region you are in. This can be resolved by re-tuning your TV. If this doesn’t work, then a TV Aerial Fitter can come and fit a filter to stop the tuner from picking up the rogue transmission.
I've lost the signal from the satellite dish, what should I do?
There could be a few reasons for the loss of signal, bad weather, the dish has been blown or knocked out of alignment, the box is faulty and needs resetting, the coax cable has water in it, or the LNB has a fault. To resolve any of these issues you would need to call out a satellite engineer to fix the problem.
